  • Anatomy: M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with PhD Medical Anatomy.

B) For Super-Specialty Departments:

• D.M./M.Ch./DNB/DrNB in the concerned subject from a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline.

Experience

Candidates must possess relevant teaching and research experience as detailed below:

For Professor:

• 8 years post PG experience.
• Teaching and Research Experience:
  • 3 years as Associate Professor in a permitted/recognized medical college/institution.
  • At least four research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ). Author should be among the first three or corresponding author.
  • Completed basic course in Medical Education Technology from NMC designated institutions.
  • Completed basic course in Biomedical Research from NMC designated institutions.

For Associate Professor:

• 5 years post PG experience.
• Teaching and Research Experience:
  • 4 years as Assistant Professor in a permitted/recognized medical college/institution.
  • At least two research publications in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ). Author should be among the first three or corresponding author.
  • Completed basic course in Medical Education Technology from NMC designated institutions.

For Assistant Professor:

• Essential: One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MS Degree.
• Desirable: Three years as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar/Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MS Degree.

Note: DNB qualifications in broad and super specialties from institutions with attached hospitals of 500+ beds are considered equivalent to MD/MS and DM/MCh respectively.
