Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • A degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Language Proficiency

  • Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali.
  • This requirement is not applicable for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.
  • For candidates whose mother tongue is other than Bengali/Nepali, knowledge of Bengali will be tested at the time of the Personality Test. Poor performance in this test may lead to cancellation of candidature.

N.B.: Candidates must fulfill all requisite qualifications by the closing date of submission of application.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2024)

  • Minimum Age: Not below 20 years.
  • Maximum Age: Not more than 39 years.
  • Candidates must be born not earlier than 02.01.1985 and not later than 01.01.2004.

N.B.: Age as recorded only in the Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will be accepted. The age limits apply to all candidates, whether in Govt. service or not.

Selection Process

The selection for the Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination, 2024 will be conducted in three successive stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): This is a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Final Examination. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will NOT be considered for the final selection.
