Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

1. Super Specialist (Entry Level)

  • A recognized medical qualification (first or second Schedule or Part-II of third Schedule) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • MCh/DM/DNB or equivalent in the concerned Super specialty.
  • All post graduate additional qualifications must be registered with the Medical Council.

2. Super Specialist (Senior Consultant)

  • Same as for Entry Level Super Specialist.
  • Candidates with at least five years post super specialty qualification experience.

3. Specialist (Junior)

  • Post Graduate Degree/DNB, or Diploma in concerned speciality after MBBS with TCMC registration.
  • For Casualty/ICU, PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine and registered with Medical Council.
  • All post graduate additional qualifications must also be registered with the Medical Council.
  • Experience: 3 years experience in respective specialty for degree holders OR 5 years experience in respective specialty for Diploma holders.

4. Specialist (Senior)

  • Post Graduate Degree/DNB, or Diploma after MBBS with TCMC registration.
  • For Casualty/ICU, PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Critical care Medicine and registered with Medical Council.
  • All post graduate additional qualifications must also be registered with the Medical Council.
  • Experience: 5 years experience in respective specialty for degree holders OR 7 years experience in respective specialty for Diploma holders.

5. Senior Resident (Pay Level 11)

  • For Superspeciality departments, DM/DrNB in concerned superspeciality is preferred over MD/DNB in General Medicine.
  • For Specialty departments, Post Graduate Degree/DNB, or Diploma in concerned specialty after MBBS with TCMC registration is required.
  • For ICU, PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Critical care medicine and registered with Medical Council is required.
  • For Casualty: PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Critical care Medicine and registered with Medical Council is preferred. In the absence of post graduate qualifications, MBBS doctors with at least two years experience in concerned specialities and registered with Medical Council will be selected for Casualty department.
  • All post graduate additional qualifications must also be registered with the Medical Council.
