• Research Assistant:

Age Limit

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): UR – 10 years, OBC – 13 years, SC/ST – 15 years
• Central Government servants: up to 5 years
• Ex-servicemen: service rendered in defence forces + 3 years (minimum 6 months attested service)
• THSTI Institute employees: relaxation to the extent of service rendered

Experience

• Research Assistant (Desirable): 2 years’ work experience in Obstetrics or Midwifery or Dept of Neonatology or Nursery; Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, investigators.
• Staff Nurse (Desirable): Experience in clinical research in maternal and child health domain; Experience in performing anthropometry for mother or/and child; Well versed with Good Clinical Practise (GCP).

Research Assistant: The selected Research Assistants (RAs) will be involved in the ACTION-III Trial, a multi-country, multi-centre study. Their duties will primarily involve shift duties to provide 24×7 coverage for the trial, including screening and enrolment, administration of intervention, and monitoring outcome assessment in newborns and mothers. This role offers exposure to large-scale clinical trials and valuable experience in a research environment.

Staff Nurse: The Staff Nurse will work on the MOMI India – Genomics and Analysis planning (Phase-II) project. Responsibilities include determining participant eligibility, collecting clinical data, assisting doctors in examinations and procedures, sample collection (placental), and performing neurodevelopmental assessments for children 0-2 years. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to maternal and child health research and gain specialized clinical research experience.
