Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Medical Officer (DCBO): A recognized MBBS degree included in the First/Second/Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Completion of compulsory rotating internship. Registration with National Medical Council/Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • Senior Resident (3 & 1 Year): MBBS from an NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council recognized institution. Post-Graduation Diploma/Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline. Must be registered with NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council. Note: If PG/Diploma doctors are not available, MBBS doctors with two years of experience (1 year in the concerned specialty from government/private hospital, not a private clinic) may be appointed for 1 year as Senior Resident.
  • Full Time/Part-time Super Specialist: MBBS from an NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council recognized institution. Post-Graduation degree (MD/DNB) in relevant discipline. A Super-Speciality Degree (DM/DNB) in concerned Super-specialty. Must be registered with NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • Full Time / Part Time Specialist: MBBS from an NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council recognized institution. Post-Graduation Diploma/Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant discipline. Must be registered with NMC/MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council.

Experience

  • Medical Officer (DCBO): Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
  • Senior Resident (1 Year): If applying with MBBS (without PG/Diploma), 2 years of experience (including 1 year in concerned specialty) from a government/private hospital.
  • Super Specialist (FTSS/PTSS): 2 years’ experience after acquiring Super-speciality Degree.

For Medical Officer (DCBO), it’s one year or till a regular incumbent joins.

No, private practice is not permitted for Medical Officers, Senior Residents, and Full-Time Specialists/Super Specialists on contract.

Q9: What happens if a selected candidate fails to join or resigns early?

If a selected candidate fails to join on time or resigns within 3 months, a waitlisted candidate may be offered the post. The waiting list is valid for 6 months. Absence for 15 days without permission will be treated as voluntary abandonment and lead to automatic termination.
